## 🔴 Critical

### [CRIT-001] LabyForge 1.8.9 — any external mod crashes the game ⚠️ REGRESSED
- **Category:** Client
- **Component:** LabyForge
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/jaxemiwaxisomihazede · attachments/1514042642512478348_message.txt · attachments/1514046905976361020_message.txt

- **Occurrences:** 2 (both new this run)
- **OS:** Windows 11
- **MC Version:** 1.8.9
- **Affected users:** @Torsv, @! REXO ☁
- **Status:** open — **Forge Loader 2.0.2 (09.06, "Fixed an issue where some mods were not loading properly") did NOT hold**

**User reports:**
> "it seems to crash whenever i have ANY outside mod enabled — i tried cherrypicking the mods, disabling and only enabling single ones but literally none of them will launch" — @Torsv, 2026-06-09
> "there is a problem with labymod 1.8.9 forge, every mod i add it crash the game […] it was the 'forge loader', it's broken" — @! REXO ☁, 2026-06-10

**Log analysis:**
Torsv (1.8.9 + SkyblockAddons/ReplayMod/OptiFine): every external mod fails class transformation — `ClassNotFoundException: net.minecraft.entity.Entity` inside mod ASM transformers; `Error loading class` for skyblockaddons/replaymod/optifine classes. REXO (**labyforge 2.0.2 installed**, RTX 4060, Java 21): `NoClassDefFoundError: gnu/trove/map/hash/TByteObjectHashMap` — trove4j is a stock 1.8.9 Forge library, so the Forge runtime classpath is incomplete under LabyForge 2.0.x. Crash report even fails to resolve the current language (LanguageManager null) → very early bootstrap failure.

**Hypothesis:** LabyForge 2.0.x (the "4.5.0 Update" line) broke 1.8.9 class lookup/classpath assembly for external mods. REXO crashed on 06-10 **with 2.0.2 already installed** and Torsv reproduced on the snapshot channel after the 2.0.2 release — treat the 2.0.2 fix as ineffective for 1.8.9. Torsv's two logs were forwarded to the client dev by Northernside on 06-09 23:24.

### [HIGH-001] LabyFabric remapper aborts on existing remapped jar — game won't start 🆕 ⚠️ REGRESSED
- **Category:** Client
- **Component:** LabyFabric
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/upizososoqurixukuber
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1514254090777923696
- **Occurrences:** 1
- **OS:** Windows
- **MC Version:** 1.21.11
- **Affected user:** @UnimogTHW
- **Linked Ideas:** [#20949 — Remapping cache doesn't delete old mod versions [DONE]](https://laby.net/ideas/20949)
- **Status:** open — **UNANSWERED in #support** (reported 06-10 13:05, last message of the window)

**Log analysis:**
`java.io.UncheckedIOException: Failed to remap mods` ← `FileAlreadyExistsException: …\loader\fabric\1.21.11\remapped\voicechat-fabric-1.21.11-2.6.18-remapped-454f7503d95b251a.jar` → `RuntimeException: Cannot instantiate mods when not frozen!` (at `LabyModLoaderPlugin.initializeMixins`). The remapper hard-fails when its output jar already exists instead of skipping/overwriting.

**Hypothesis:** Stale remap-cache entry (e.g. from an interrupted launch) bricks all mod loading. Idea #20949 about the remap cache was closed DONE on 06-04, yet this is from 06-10 → incomplete fix or regression in LabyFabric 2.0.x. Likely user workaround: delete the `remapped/` folder.

### [HIGH-002] Launcher silently reinstalls uninstalled mods
- **Category:** Launcher
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/ezitibuvanelevunakat
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1514001423069614173
- **Occurrences:** 1
- **OS:** Windows
- **MC Version:** 1.21.x
- **Affected user:** @Jake
- **Status:** needs-info — Northernside requested launcher log + `%APPDATA%\LabyMod\instances.json` (06-09 22:37); user data still pending

**User reports:**
> "i uninstalled it 😭 […] oh now its there again when i relaunch the launcher" — @Jake, 2026-06-09

**Log analysis:** ezitibuvanelevunakat shows Axiom still loading after a UI-successful uninstall. Suspect: the 3.0.6 auto-refreshing content sync re-applying a cached manifest. This bug also actively sabotages debugging of mod conflicts (see the Axiom black-screen entry under Apparently Fixed — the user couldn't actually get rid of the suspect mod).

### [HIGH-003] Launcher fails to start silently — Electron globalShortcut race
- **Category:** Launcher
- **(Crash)logs:** none uploaded — crash text quoted in Discord (from `labymodlauncher-crash.log`)
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513177135341371412 · https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1514067753189904435
- **Occurrences:** 3
- **OS:** Windows
- **MC Version:** n/a
- **Affected users:** @The Rebirthed, @𝓜𝓪𝓾𝓿𝓲, @Zeesh
- **Status:** open — recurring on 3.0.8 (Zeesh, 06-10); Northernside requested `labymodlauncher-install.log` + `-error.log`

**User reports:**
> "Seit heute lässt sich Laby nicht mal mehr starten. […] Selbst im Taskmanager wird nicht mal kurzzeitig irgendwas angezeigt" — @The Rebirthed, 2026-06-07
> "was working yesterday idk whats happening — doesnt even appear in task manager" — @Zeesh, 2026-06-10

**Log analysis:**
```
[2026-06-07T13:57:55.237Z] Unhandled Rejection: Error: globalShortcut cannot be used before the app is ready
    at eval (webpack-internal:///55391:678:31)
```
**Hypothesis:** Electron main-process startup race — `globalShortcut` registered before `app.ready` kills the process before any window exists, matching "not even in task manager". Reinstall "fixes" it (𝓜𝓪𝓾𝓿𝓲), consistent with a race/corrupt state. Three independent users in 72h, latest on 3.0.8.

### [HIGH-004] Iris shaders crash instantly on MC 26.1.x
- **Category:** Client
- **Component:** Rendering
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/isuvaxodonenezaqagub · https://paste.labymod.net/raw/daquyesoyutumiguwaqa · https://paste.labymod.net/raw/pabujigujosudarisidu

- **Occurrences:** 2
- **OS:** Windows (AMD RX 7600, Adrenalin 26.6.1)
- **MC Version:** 26.1.1 / 26.1.2
- **Affected users:** @Fr1day, @𝓞𝓽𝓪𝓴𝓾
- **Linked Ideas:** [#20953 — My game crashes whenever I turn on a shader (Iris) [DUPLICATE]](https://laby.net/ideas/20953) (duplicate of an open Iris report)
- **Status:** open — a snapshot fix attempt on 06-08 did **not** resolve it ("Crasht immer noch"); logs forwarded to devs

**User reports:**
> "Das Spiel crasht sofort, sobald ich ingame einen Shader aktiviere. Ohne Shader (nur Sodium) läuft alles stabil. […] Sieht für mich nach einer Inkompatibilität von Iris mit MC 26.1 (evtl. in Kombi mit LabyMods Render-Hooks) aus." — @Fr1day, 2026-06-07 (tested Iris 1.10.8/1.10.9 × Sodium 0.8.7/0.8.9, several shaderpacks, drivers current, render addons disabled — identical crash)

**Log analysis:** `NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "org.joml.Matrix4fc.properties()" because "left" is null` inside `GameRenderer.wrapOperation$…$iris$renderLevel` — a null projection/modelview matrix handed into Iris' wrapped renderLevel, pointing at LabyMod's MC-26.1 render pipeline hooks. Exceptionally thorough user repro — this report deserves dev attention.

### [MED-001] OptiFine addon installs but never applies
- **Category:** Client
- **Component:** Mod-Compat
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/vodiyeqemobifixehequ · https://paste.labymod.net/raw/axeloboficusitofenos
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513166633584033812 · https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513286289233809589
- **Occurrences:** 3
- **OS:** Windows
- **MC Version:** 1.8.9 – 1.21.x
- **Affected users:** @Raywastaken, @🎓٢٦, @zach
- **Linked Ideas:** [#20984 — Optifine installation doesnt work [PENDING_USER_ACTION]](https://laby.net/ideas/20984)
- **Status:** open — staff (NULLYUKI) reproduced it: "I tested it on my end myself — it's a bug"

> "even when i enable it in addons […] when i put it manually in mods folder, it doesnt launch" — @Raywastaken, 2026-06-07

**Log analysis:** OptiFine addon present in the addon list, but no OptiFine initialization follows — silent non-activation, no crash. Idea #20984 is PENDING_USER_ACTION; the Discord repro (3 users + staff) may be exactly what QA is waiting for. Related: @KeTaMiTeK found the installed OptiFine addon also prevents Fabric mods from being detected (historic LabyFabric behavior).

### [MED-002] VoiceChat: no audio in/out on LabyMod 4 (works on LM3)
- **Category:** Client | **Component:** Mod-Compat
- **(Crash)logs:** none provided
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513168974504923176
- **Occurrences:** 1 | **OS:** unknown | **MC Version:** unknown
- **Affected user:** @ali
- **Status:** needs-info — no staff response in window

> "i cant hear or talk in voicechat […] tried deleting vc then downloading it again didn't fix it — if i use laby3 it works normally but it doesnt in laby4" — @ali, 2026-06-07

Same machine works on LM3 → LM4 VoiceChat addon or its native audio backend, not user hardware.

### [MED-003] Random freeze → crash with autogen LSS accessor ClassNotFoundException (1.8.9)
- **Category:** Client | **Component:** Rendering
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/tepobapixudurabaqegu
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513600422622007376
- **Occurrences:** 1 | **OS:** Windows | **MC Version:** 1.8.9
- **Affected user:** @RomaNN
- **Status:** open

**Log analysis:** repeated fatal `ClassNotFoundException: net.labymod.autogen.core.lss.CoreCustomcrosshair_addonDirectPropertyValueAccessorRegisterBulk` (+ Keystrokes/Customnametags variants) at `Minecraft.checkGLError` — runtime-generated LSS property accessors fail to resolve. Additionally a cosmetic blows the bone limit (`Bone subtree 'glow_susanoo' has 302 bones, exceeds the maximum limit of 240`), spamming IllegalStateExceptions — possible freeze contributor. User says others on his server see the same.

### [MED-004] LabyMod updater corrupts MultiMC instances on close
- **Category:** Other
- **(Crash)logs:** none provided
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513276057753616615
- **Occurrences:** 1 | **OS:** unknown | **MC Version:** unknown
- **Affected user:** @AmpersandHD
- **Status:** open — asked twice, **no staff response in window**

> "Seit circa einer Woche zerstört mir der LabyMod Updater die Instanz beim Schließen […] Spiele ich sie aus einer Sicherung wieder ein, dann geht es genau einmal, danach wieder Crash Exit. Kann ich den LabyMod Updater irgendwie abklemmen?" — @AmpersandHD, 2026-06-07

Reproducible for ~a week; restore-from-backup works exactly once. Likely the LM4 self-updater writing a layout MultiMC doesn't expect. Third-party-launcher users are silently losing instances — worth a follow-up.

### [MED-005] hand_transformer: disabling the addon doesn't disable its effects
- **Category:** Client | **Component:** Mod-Compat
- **(Crash)logs:** n/a (behavioral)
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513939061247836294
- **Occurrences:** 1 | **OS:** Linux | **MC Version:** 1.8.9 module
- **Affected user:** @Netherite0815
- **Status:** open — staff-confirmed known issue

> "diese alte Schlag Animation ist an obwohl ich die nicht an habe und Range/Slowdown werden auf Servern nicht mehr blockiert" — @Netherite0815, 2026-06-09

Notable staff quote (NULLYUKI): *"Ich persönlich vertraue den Enable/Disable Settings nicht bei Addons/Allgemein"* — if QA doesn't trust addon toggles, this is a systemic addon-lifecycle bug, not just hand_transformer.

### [MED-006] LabyChat session/login failures — expired session needs manual re-login
- **Category:** Client | **Component:** Auth
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/osexobedovikocakenil
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260471731809026048/1513631199602675924 · https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513848626697470084
- **Occurrences:** 2 | **OS:** Windows | **MC Version:** 1.21.10 / 4.5.5
- **Affected users:** @Tqjii, @JustinXII
- **Status:** workaround — re-add account (Tqjii) / launcher logout+login (JustinXII)

> "It's still expired lmao […] adding new account with same informations helped" — @Tqjii, 2026-06-09

Client doesn't refresh an expired token by itself. Note: RappyTV mentioned LabyChat **server-side** issues on 06-10 — some reports may be noise, but the stale-session pattern predates that.

### [MED-007] Stale imgui-java64.dll in %temp% breaks launcher start
- **Category:** Launcher
- **(Crash)logs:** https://paste.labymod.net/raw/ivijuliyusozoyaqejaf
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513195525535436830
- **Occurrences:** 1 | **OS:** Windows | **MC Version:** n/a
- **Affected user:** @Vanessa3209
- **Status:** workaround — delete `%temp%\imgui-java-natives\1.0.2\imgui-java64.dll`

Staff had a canned 4-step workaround ready → known recurring issue. The launcher should hash-check/overwrite its extracted natives. (3.0.7's "natives extracted per instance" fix covers *game* natives, not the launcher's own imgui natives.)

### [MED-008] Clean MC 26.1.2 instance takes ~1 min to launch (Datafixer stall)
- **Category:** Launcher
- **(Crash)logs:** none provided
- **Message Links:** https://discord.com/channels/260471731809026048/260478719695519746/1513932541277503490

- **Affected user:** @moritz
- **Status:** open — no staff response in window

> "auf jeden fall deutlich länger als bei modrinth, mc launcher etc" — @moritz, 2026-06-09

Stalls after `291 Datafixer optimizations took 318 milliseconds`; same machine is much faster on Modrinth/vanilla → launcher-side overhead (remap? verification? content sync?) rather than vanilla cost.

Permission denied without sudo; pacman warns `directory permissions differ … filesystem: 700, package 755` on many files; `sudo --no-sandbox` run SIGSEGVs. Package ships files with modes unusable for non-root. Also: @D1manGamer notes the `.desktop` file lacks a description and sits in "Utility".

## ✅ Apparently Fixed

Issues observed in the period that releases appear to address. Verify before closing.

- **LabyFabric 2.0.x mixin APPLY failures — the June-8 mass crash wave** (FerriteCore `BlockStateCacheMixin`, `fabric-lifecycle-events-v1` `method_29741`, fabric-resource-loader, …): ONE root cause — mixin target resolution against intermediary names broke in 2.0.9; every mixin-using mod failed during APPLY. **13+ users in ~3h** (@zuna, @Glqch, @Dark_Mandalor, @Savi, @Kazupolis, @klopeq, @Pizzamaxpizza, @Tharson_, @fluchtfahrzeug, @darki x3, @Telve, @FizzyBubbele00, @khalid7445, …). Fixed in **LabyFabric 2.0.10** (06-08, "Fixed an issue where some mods could not be loaded"); rollout delayed ~30 min by Cloudflare caching the old jar. **Confirmed** by multiple users; @Dark_Mandalor: *"Habt uns allen den Hintern gerettet."* Ideas: [#20912 DONE](https://laby.net/ideas/20912), [#20987 DONE](https://laby.net/ideas/20987), [#20988 DUPLICATE](https://laby.net/ideas/20988). Logs: [zayocuselumatapulayi](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/zayocuselumatapulayi) · [hegiketoriqezopeguba](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/hegiketoriqezopeguba) · [owafuzigaxebagecuvaj](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/owafuzigaxebagecuvaj). ⚠️ Note: #20912 had already been marked fixed once **while users still crashed** — double-check fix claims against fresh logs before closing ideas.
- **Xaero maps crash — missing `merged-mappings-1.21.11.jar`** (@SnowyyTV-187, @simonpro10, @Dark_Mandalor + "kenne viele die das gleiche Problem haben"): `NoSuchFileException` on the mappings jar under `instances\<uuid>\game\labymod-neo\fabric\mappings` — wrong-directory family fixed in LabyFabric 2.0.6–2.0.10. **Confirmed** by @SnowyyTV-187 (06-08: "Ja es geht wieder"). Idea [#20994 PENDING_USER_ACTION](https://laby.net/ideas/20994) could be closed with this resolution. Log: [nukuzevadinunutacugu](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/nukuzevadinunutacugu).
- **Borderless fullscreen NPE crash** (@King H-O, @_1z__): `NPE: BorderlessWindow.toggleFullscreen()` when launcher fullscreen + explicit window size are combined. Fixed in **Launcher 3.0.8** (exact changelog match); @King H-O acknowledged 06-10 and is verifying. Related idea [#20999 OPEN](https://laby.net/ideas/20999) (resolution not applied) is the same code path but NOT fixed.
- **Launcher addon/mod install error** (@Kaktus): error dialog on every install attempt, also blocked game start. Staff: fixed in **3.0.8** ("crash when reading a corrupt or invalid addon/mod jar" likely match). Unconfirmed — user was asked to report back. Side-find: CTRL+Shift+L didn't open a launcher log for this user.
- **Per-instance overlay hijacks schematics/configs** (@Kn0cki, @Tharson_, @RainerRainer75, @The Rebirthed/CommandKeys config, @khalid7445 — OPSucht community): Litematica schematics & mod configs read from `instances\<uuid>\overlay\` instead of `.minecraft`. Fixed in **3.0.7/3.0.8** (default instance now runs directly in `.minecraft`, stale overlays cleaned up). **Confirmed** by @Kn0cki after rerun-migrations on 3.0.7. ⚠️ Caveat: @khalid7445 reports real data loss after manually moving files then re-running migrations — the migration overwrite path deserves a backup-before-overwrite safety check.
- **Windows firewall prompt on every launch** (@The Rebirthed, @Gamerboy, @Timo): fixed in **3.0.7** ("communication server binding to the wrong interface"). No new reports after 06-07. Log: [tagadewuwokodewiqava](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/tagadewuwokodewiqava).
- **Axiom (+ Fabric API) black screen on launch** (@Jake): **LabyFabric 2.0.12** (06-10, "Fixed an issue where some mods were causing a black screen") matches symptom and timing. Unconfirmed. Logs: [runexipatobayozozohe](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/runexipatobayozozohe) · [ezitibuvanelevunakat](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/ezitibuvanelevunakat). Diagnosis was hampered by HIGH-002 (uninstalled Axiom kept coming back).
- **Standalone Forge 1.20.1 instance crash from launcher** (@ESK): cause identified by staff same night, fixed in **3.0.7** (Forge manifest deduplication / duplicate libraries). Unconfirmed. Log: [vuboyuzugebilevuleju](https://paste.labymod.net/raw/vuboyuzugebilevuleju).
- **Chat logs not written to `.minecraft/logs` since ~June 3** (@lottie, @moorrisss, @starwarsfreak219, @Nik Tan): temp launcher fix in **3.0.7**, proper client fix in snapshot with production rollout announced for 06-09.
